In many ways I am just an ordinary mom and wife. I have 4 beautiful kids & the perfect man for me. Life is rarely glamorous. I spend most of my days homeschooling my children, cooking meals for my family, providing a taxi service to soccer games, and hanging out with my people. I am passionate about writing & teaching. In addition to my blog, I am a certified prenatal educator (birthtoblessing.com), a homeschool family tutor, an author, and a speaker. I also lead the Women’s Ministry at our local church where my husband and I serve as Elders. We live in Virginia and live a life full of music, board games, and potty-training.
Before marriage and family, I worked in full-time ministry for many years. I was blessed to be an associate director for 4 years at the Wesley Foundation, an amazing and growing campus ministry at the University of Georgia. There I started an outreach ministry to the students living in the dorms and weekly discipled young women serving as interns at our ministry. I was able to participate in and lead mission trips to Omaha, New York City, Los Angeles, Guatemala, Scotland, and Israel. Also, during this time, I served as an advisory board member for two local adoption agencies, volunteered and counseled in a local pregnancy center, and was a frequent speaker at women conferences.
After working in college ministry, I spent one year as an “apartment mom” for pregnant young women and served as the director of a local pro-life organization. Both of these gave me the opportunity to travel and speak in churches as well as conference settings. I then made my way up to Washington D.C. to serve as the Internship Director at the Justice House of Prayer. My husband and I ministered in the House of Prayer for one year until our first baby was born.
